It's almost that time to begin thinking about your entry into the 2020 Allegany National Photography Competition & Exhibition! To get you ready, join us for the first in a series of workshops in which you can hone your skills, sharpen your focus, and make the most of your camera.
This workshop, Editing Your Digital Photos: Basics of Image Correction & Improvement, will offer you tips that will help enhance your photography for maximum exposure.
Other topics included in the workshop will:
- Introduce participants to Adobe’s Camera Raw editing features (similar to Lightroom and other editing software)
- Discuss shooting RAW vs. JPEG, and the pros and cons of each
- Discuss editing sliders and controls
- Prepare files for print vs. online display
- Provide hands-on practice with your phone during instruction
The instructor, Michael Hunter Thompson, is a tremendously decorated local photographer who has won countless awards, including his most recent inclusion in the 4th Biennial Maryland Regional Juried Art Exhibition. His piece, "Lakehouse," won the 2019 Cumberland Valley Photographers Exhibition's Best in Show Award. He will be leading the workshop and will assist participants with questions throughout the evening.
