2019-11-09 2019-11-09 America/New_York Gallery Walk & Talk: Penny Knobel-Besa

Join local acclaimed photographer, Penny Knobel-Besa, for an exploration into her newest series, Metamorphosis. In this intimate discussion, Knobel-Besa will explain her latest work and how it has changed from her original photography.

About the Artist

Knobel-Besa is a fine arts photographer, playwright, and theatre director. Through her decades-long career she has been named Maryland Photographer of the Year, won numerous awards, and been published in literary journals.

Typically, Knobel-Besa's photography has been uncropped and shown exactly as taken, but in her new series, she experiments with the digital side, using techniques such as blur and reflection to make paintings with her camera.

Immediately following the Gallery Walk & Talk, join us for the Public Opening of Metamorphosis and The Art & Craft of the Puppet featuring the hand-crafted puppetry of Dr. Gerald Snelson.

The public opening is from 6:00-8:00PM and is free and open to the public.
